Atardecer en la ciudad

El domingo pasado, 9 de diciembre, se cerró mi última exposición "Sensaciones" en el Café Cejas de la Villa de Teguise. Estoy muy satisfecha con la acogida y muy agradecida por el apoyo y el cariño de todos. Aquí les dejo dos o tres fotos de la noche de inauguración.

Este año por fín he podido hacer realidad esa idea que llevaba tiempo rondando en mi cabeza: unir mis dos profesiones y ofrecer una clase en la que los niños puedan desarrollar su creatividad a la vez que escuchan y empiezan a expresarse en inglés. Empecé en octubre con un pequeño grupo de niños de 10 y 11 años y estoy encantada. Ellos se lo pasan estupendamente, y están haciendo verdaderos progresos tanto en inglés como en plásticas. ¡Se lo pasan tan bien que no quieren irse a casa! Me encanta.

New Exhibition/ Nueva Exposición "Sensaciones" en Café Cejas, Villa de Teguise, Lanzarote

Inauguración: Viernes, 9 de Noviembre de 2012 a las 20.30.

El Café Cejas  es un café-restaurante en un edificio antiguo en el casco histórico de la Villa de Teguise y tiene ese encanto de ayer, con una decoración que respeta su antigüedad. Me pareció un marco maravilloso para exponer mi arte, que es más bien moderno con un toque tradicional,  y contrastará muy bien con el ambiente del lugar.

La muestra permanecerá abierta hasta el 9 de Diciembre y se podrá visitar a cualquier hora mientras esté abierto el café.

Café Cejas is a café/ restaurant in a marvelous old building in the historical centre of Teguise, and it has that old day charm, enhanced by a carefully thought out decor that respects its antiquity. It struck me as a wonderful frame for my artwork, which is mostly modern with a traditional touch and will contrast very well with the atmosphere of the café.

The exhibition may be visited at any time during the Café Cejas´s opening hours until the 9th of December.

Exposición de Pintura "Algo Diferente"/ Art Exhibition "Something Different"

Ya está inaugurada la exposición "Algo Diferente" !!! Anoche celebré la apertura de una nueva exposición en compañia de familia, amigos, conocidos y desconocidos. Algunos incluso vinieron desde Gran Canaria a verla! Estoy muy feliz con la favorable acogida que tuvieron mis nuevas creaciones. Pasen a verla. Creo que quedarán gratamente sorprendidos. Aqúi les dejo una pequeña muestra de lo que pueden ver en ella. Si quieren ver más cuadros, tienen que venir a La Bodeguita de la Casa Cerdeña de San Bartolomé. La sala estará abierta por las tardes de 17.30 a 21.00 horas, desde mañana, 15 de abril hasta el 29 de abril. También abriremos algunas mañanas para las guaguas turísticas. Pondré más información en breve con el horario de mañana.

The art exhibition "Something Different" is oficially open!! Last night, I celebrated the inauguration of my latest exhibition with family, friends, acquaintances and some others whom I met at the event. A few even flew over from the neighbour island of Gran Canaria to see it!! I am very excited with the favourable impression that my new creations have caused! Come and see them. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Here is a photo of one of the new paintings as a little preview. If you want to see the rest you must come to La Bodeguita de Casa Cerdeña in San Bartolomé. The hall will be open during the evening from 5.30 pm to 9.00 pm from tomorrow, April 15th to April 29th. It will also be open on some mornings for the tourist buses. I will post more information on opening times and days for the morning hours.
